KOHAT, April 28: Residents of Kohat district have asked the government to restart rail freight transport and train service in the district.

Talking to TNN, local people said the train service from Rawalpindi to Kohat was comfortable for them and that it also charged reasonable fares.

Local traders said the transportation of goods through train service also cost lesser fare and that ultimately the public got the items on low prices.

The Pakistan Railways has been facing losses for the last several years. As a result, the government stopped train service in several areas of the country.
