JAMRUD, 17 November: The Kokikhel tribesmen of Khyber Agency have asked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to immediately stop development work on the disputed land of Regi.

Addressing a news conference here on Tuesday elders of the Kokikhel tribe alleged that the provincial government had been carrying out developmental work on the disputed land despite a stay order by the Peshawar High Court. They threatened that if the government did not stop developmental work in Regi till Monday, they would close Pak-Afghan highway at Bab-e-Khyber as a protest. They also asked the government to hand them over the land.
