PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Tuesday passed a unanimous resolution strongly condemning the Indian ‘aerial strike’ and lauded timely response by the Pakistan security forces that compelled the intruders to turn tail and flee from our space.
The resolution moved by PTI’s lawmaker Liaqat Ali Khan stated that forces of Pakistan Army gave a befitting reply to the Indian aggression with full might. The resolution further stated that Pakistan is a peaceful country and wanted to have friendly and harmonious relations with its neighbours. If any neighbour tried to make any endure to put in jeopardy our national solidarity and sovereignty, Pakistan has all the potential to meet any such eventuality and our history is a testimony to this effect.
Taking the floor Leader of Opposition Akram Khan Durrani, said that Pakistan can give a befitting reply to any foreign aggression and added that Pakistan is a peace loving country and any misadventure against it would be repulsed. The entire nation was united on one page for the integrity and solidarity of their country.
Nighat Orakzai of PPP, condemning the attack said that it was a political stunt by the sitting Indian government which was all set to go to the general elections in a month time. She said the entire nation was standing behind the government and armed forces for the defence of their country. Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan she added.
Parliamentary Leader of Awami National Party (ANP) Sardar Hussain Babak said that India should avoid involving itself in polluting the peaceful environs in the region. The Indian government, he said, carried out the aerial strike just for political scoring as general elections in India were round the corner. Sardar Babak said that India should not construe our silence as our weakness otherwise we have all the resources and powers to give a matching response to Indian aggression.
Deputy Speaker Mahmood Jan said that India cannot suppress the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiris through such act of cowardice. India should remember 1965 when valiant forces of Pakistan outclassed the Indian forces by giving them a tit for tat response.
Parliamentary Leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) Sardar Aurangzeb Nalota, paid tributes to Pakistan army for their timely response to the Indian airstrike. The nation standing like an iron wall with the forces in the defence of their country. The Indian Prime Minister wanted to push both the neighbours towards war for the political game.
