PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced summer vacations ahead of schedule due to hot weather and upcoming month of Ramazan.
According to a notification issued by the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, summer vacations will begin at government primary schools in plain areas of KP from 17 May and end on 12 August. The vacations of middle, high and higher secondary schools will also begin on 17 May, but these schools will reopen on 1 August.
In the mountainous areas, the vacations will start on 1 July and end on 31 July.
The Punjab and Sindh governments have already announced summer vacations for schools.
