PESHAWAR, 23 June: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced pills to cure hepatitis instead of vaccine.

According to sources, the KP Health Department has purchased pills for providing free of cost treatment to 4,000 hepatitis patients in the province with the cost of over Rs13.8 million and sent these pills for laboratory tests. After clearance from laboratories, these pills will be provided to hospitals in the province.

Pills had been preferred in all the countries of the world for treatment of hepatitis. The treatment course spans from four to six months.
