PESHAWAR, 26 October: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has prepared a budget of Rs144 billion for the local governments for the year 2015-16.

Out of total budget, 70 percent amount has been specified for the salaries of local government representatives and 30 percent will be spent on development schemes. The budget documents show that Rs102 billion have been earmarked for salaries of local government representatives and Rs42 billion will be spent on uplift schemes in the province.

KP Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak will approve the budget prepared by Provincial Minister for Local Government Inayatullah.
