PESHAWAR, 6 July: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has said it has prepared feasibility report of 29 hydropower projects of 3,911 megawatts in the province.
These projects will be carried out in Dir, Shangla, Mansehra, Swat and other areas of KP. Chief Executive Akbar Ayub says Koto hydropower project will be constructed on Panjgora river. He said construction work on 12MW Karora hydropower project in Shangla and Rs100 million Jabori hydropower project in Mansehra will be initiated soon. He said the 150MW Sharmai project will be completed with the help of a private company.
The KP government has commenced work on a number of small power projects in the province.
