PESHAWAR, 10 August: To promote healthy activities and highlight softer image of the province, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to continue organizing under-23 provincial games in coming September.

According to a press release issued by the provincial sports department, more young players would be encouraged to participate in the games. It added that prize money for the participating players would also be increased.

The press release maintained that players participating at district and regional levels would be provided complete sport kits.

Last year, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government organized provincial games in which more than 5000 male and female players of under 23 years of age from all over the province participated in different events.

The sports department had hinted that the number of players would be increased to 7000 this year.
