PESHAWAR, 28 May: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan has named members of the FATA Tribunal, the court of tribal areas.

The FATA tribunal was non-functional for the last six months. According to a notification of the KP governor, former bureaucrat Sang Marjan Khan has been named Chairman of the FATA Tribunal. Hussain Zada and Atif Nazir have been named members of the tribunal.

The FATA Tribunal hears appeals regarding problems of the tribal population, administration and other issues of tribal areas. The tribunal has been established in FATA as the Supreme Court of Pakistan and high court have no jurisdiction in the tribal areas.
