PESHAWAR, April 25: The provincial government has approved a new policy, under which schoolteachers will be appointed as per their choice and they will not be transferred somewhere else in future.
Chief Minister Pervez Khattak told journalists that they had taken several steps to improve the education system, particularly the affairs at state-run schools.
He added that they were thinking to implement the policy at government schools all over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
About the new policy, a teacher of a government school told TNN, “If I choose a school and later I want to get transferred due to some issue, I won’t be able to get transferred to some other school. It may create problems.”
Another teacher said, “I don’t think it is possible for a teacher to perform duty at the same school till retirement.”
