PESHAWAR: To bring the backward tribal district at par with the developed areas of the country, Khyber Pakthunkhwa government has allocated Rs100 for fiscal year 2018-19.
The amount would be spent on reconstruction of infrastructure, health and education and jobs creation. The announcement was made by Finance Minister Taimur Salim Jhagra while concluding his budget debate.
He said that a comprehensive strategy will be evolved with opposition to put province on path of rapid development.
The government is planning to provide interest free loan to 40000 youth in tribal district to enable them start their own businesses.
The provincial miniter revealed that the policy was being formulated to ensure transparency and enable people to improve their living standards.
Members of opposition benches also participated in the debate in the concluding session of the budget.
Senior Minister Atif Khan said government is taking concrete steps to complete all ongoing projects within stipulated time.
He said fifteen new tourist spots have been identified which will be developed for the promotion of tourism in the province.
