PESHAWAR, 01 December: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched its official web based TV channel “Badloon” here on Tuesday. Chief Minister Pervez Khattak inaugurated the channel Badloon, a Pashto word which means “change”.
Chief minister Pervez Khattak said the TV channel would serve a source of coordination between the government and the public. It would not only inform the masses about the performance of the government but would also highlight the problems faced by the society, he added.
The TV channel will be run on internet and it will produce 24-hour transmission. Besides news and current affairs programs, it will also produce religious, social, sports, tourism and entertainment programs, secretary information Abdi Majeed informed Chief Minister while giving him a briefing about the project.
He further told that the provincial information department had hired space for the TV channel on web at US$499 per month. Besides recorded program, it will also broadcast live contents.
