KP govt plans crackdown against power theft: Shaukat Yousazai

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Tuesday decided to launch crackdown against power theft across the province to bring down line losses.

Information Minister KP, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai told reporters KP Government was going to launch a massive crackdown against power thieves across the province to end this social evil.

He urged the masses to cooperate with the government in exposing such elements. Yousafzai said PTI government has generated 74 megawatt electricity from its recently completed hydel projects.

The Minister said 100 days plan for KP Government has been completed that would serve road map for next five years and rejected impression of increase in Bus Rapid Project (BRT)cost in Peshawar, saying expansion in 28 kilometers road caused its increase.
