PESHAWAR, 19 May: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak has said the provincial government will allocate 30 percent development funds from the next budget for local bodies organisations.

Addressing a meeting about implementation of the local bodies system in Peshawar yesterday, the chief minister said village and neighbourhood councils will get first priority in the local bodies development budget and they will get Rs2 million as development grant. He said the district council will get 60 percent, tehsil council will get 30 percent and village council will get 10 percent share of the remaining local bodies development funds.

Mr Khattak also issued instructions for completion of all arrangements for the elected members to initiate their work as soon as possible.
