PESHAWAR, 9 November: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to extend the municipal services system to Dera Ismail Khan, Dir and Mingora to improve the water supply system of tube wells and clean the polluted water.
Decision to this effect was taken at a meeting headed by KP Minister for Local Government Inayatullah Khan. The project will cost Rs1.25 billion.
Project Director Riaz Mehsud told the meeting that people of nine union councils of Swat will get clean drinking water from the project. He said the rusted pipes of 52 tube wells in other districts will also be replaced under the project. He said 14 new tube wells will also be installed under the project.
