PESHAWAR, 29 November: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced to reconstruct 200 higher secondary schools in nine districts of the province.

According to a handout of the KP government, these schools do not include the educational institutions damaged in the earthquake or presently under construction schools. KP Education Minister Atif Khan held a meeting with the officials of Department for International Development (DFID) during which the latter assured cooperation in reconstruction of schools.

The minister said the schools will be reconstructed with a new design to accommodate more students.

The DFID officials said the reconstruction of schools will help promote quality education in KP.
