PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Sunday constituted a Peace and Reforms Committee on directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan to ensure early implementation of Fata Reforms.

KP government spokesperson, while speaking at a news conference here, Ajmal Khan Wazir said that Minister for Tourism and Youth Affairs Muhammad Atif Khan will head the committee.

He said the PM Imran Khan’s visit to North Waziristan district has given an impetus to the reforms process ad said that tribal people would soon start reaping fruit of the reforms.

Ajmal Khan Wazir said Rs100 will be released soon for tribal districts under the NFC Award for the development of tribal districts.

Youth organisations in tribal areas have launch a movement demanding the government to expedite implementation of Fata Reforms. Youth of Waziristan and Bajaur Youth Jirga in their separate meetings have asked the government for extension of police and civil law to tribal districts.
