PESHAWAR, November 1: The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved setting up of a zoo that would require an estimated cost of 10 million rupees.

In a statement from the Chief Minister’s House, the zoo will be set up at Pakistan Forest Institute located in the premises of the University of Peshawar campus.

The zoo will be extended up to the area of 29 acres. The Forest Department has been directed to arrange unique and various kinds of birds and animals from all over the world and to facilitate the visitors in every possible aspect.

The teachers and students from the Forestry Department will also visit the zoo for research purposes.
