PESHAWAR, October 25: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Mr Pervez Khattak, has waived off irrigation tax on the farmers affected by heavy rainstorm and failing in the province.

At the provincial assembly on 24 October, the chief minister said the hail and rainstorm had affected cops in various areas of the province this year. He added that the government would help the affected farmers.

He said the provincial government would assess the losses due to calamities in the province and would also compensate the farmers.
