PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Livestock created another controversy after he suspended 27 officers of Fisheries Department over allegedly refusing to recruit his blue-eyed people on various vacant vacancies.
The suspended officials, including some senior officers, alleged that Minister Mohibullah forced them recruit their assigned candidates on some 80 vacancies.
The department had advertised 80 vacancies seeking applications for posts of drivers, clerks and fisheries watchers at the end of 2017.
They said that most of the candidates had failed the test and the minister asked them to give them extra marks in interview which they refused to obey.
This infuriated him, they claimed, and cancelled the interviews. The minister allegedly launched an inquiry against the officials and declared them of committing favouritism.
Media reports quoting the the minister said that the suspended officials had committed favouritism for which they were suspended.
