PESHAWAR, 20 November: To promote tourism in the in the province, the tourism department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) has launched safari train service from Peshawar to different historical place of the province.

In this regard, the first train took up to 100 tourists from cantonment railway station Peshawar to the historic place in Attock known as Khurd on Sunday.

A large number of women and children besides men were on-board the train which left for Attock. Sadia, a woman tourist who was on -board the train lauded the tourism department for launching the service. ” It is a very good step by the government. There are better arrangements for women in the train. We really enjoyed the ride.

The safari train would leave Peshawar for the historic places of the province after every 10 days, officials of the tourism department said. They added that the purpose of launching the train service  was to promote travel and tourism in the province.
