PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education has lifted ban on transfer of teachers in government schools.
The decision was taken at a meeting held here with Advisor to Chief Minister on Education Ziaullah Bangash in the chair wherein all heads of district education departments were present.
The advisor directed secretary KPESE to form a policy regarding students teachers ratio in schools within a week.
“The decision to lift ban is taken to adjust students-teachers ratio in schools,” Bangash said, adding that there should be a teacher for every 40 students.
He said that decision will pave way for transfer of teachers to schools with high number of students and low number of teachers.
He directed to ensure proper adjustment in this regard and share report with him, adding that a complaint cell would be formed where teachers could lodge complaints.
