TIMERGARA, 14 October: The burn and trauma center at district headquarter hospital of Timergara lacks specialized staff to treat burnt patients.

This center was built earlier by the German Non-Government Organization (NGO) Wish International with the cost of millions of rupees but it was not serving the purpose due to oblivious attitude of the hospital administration.

Bakhtyar, a local resident of Timergara, told TNN”Once my son got electrical burns  and i brought him to the burn center in Timergara district hospital but the lack of staff in the center forced me to shift the kid to Peshawar for treatment,” He said that his son’s treatment in Peshawar cost him a lot of money.   He added that lack of staff in the facility forced local people to shift burnt patients to other far-flung hospitals in the province.

When contacted, Hospital’s Medical Superintendent, Dr Hanifullah told TNN that KP health department had approved specialized staff for the burn and trauma center and soon they would be appointed in the hospital to treat burnt patients.
