LAKKI MARWAT: Prime Minister Imran Khan appeals overseas Pakistanis for donation to construct a dam while Lakki Marwat Passport Office collect donation to buy gasoline for its generator.

Applicants who visited the office to get passports told TNN that office staff collect donation from them to buy gasoline to run the generator to keep its computers switched on.

“They don’t run the generators unless applicants collect money and purchase gasoline,” said Arif and Said Badshah.

They complained that power shortage brought official work at the office to a complete halt, forcing the applicants to pay several visits to get themselves registered.

When contacted, Director of the office Muhammad Ishaq said that they have no fund to purchase gasoline for the generator, adding that applicants on their own contribute money to protect themselves from scorching heat.
