PARACHINAR, 2 October: Cheques worth Rs64.7 million have been distributed among the people of six tribes who provided land for establishment of Information Technology University in Kurram Agency.

A ceremony in this regard was held at the office of Assistant Political Agent Shahid Ali Khan on Thursday. On the occasion, Member National Assembly Sajid Ali Khan Turi distributed cheques among tribesmen who provided land for the university. The said university will be established in Parachinar for which funds of over Rs1 billion have been approved. The university was approved in 2012 and construction work on the building will start this year.
