PESHAWAR, 23 May: The Khyber Pakhunkhwa Election Commission has served notices on three provincial secretaries to clear their position in allegation relating to “violation of the election code of conduct.”

A few days ago, Sikandar Sherpao of the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) had filed a complaint with the Election Commission, alleging that the provincial secretaries of local government, zakat and ushr and higher education were disbursing the government funds in the election campaign of the ruling party in local government elections.

The Election Commission sent notices to the three secretaries, directing them to furnish their separate replies with the commission latest by coming Monday.
