PESHAWAR, 15 October: Awami National Party central leader Asfandyar Wali Khan has said that lines drawn during British Raj dividing Pakhtuns would not be accepted anymore.

ANP chief was addressing a public gathering in Mattani area of Peshawar in connection with by-polls on NA-4 where he asked party workers to reject extremist forces and vote for progressive party.

Referring towards Maulana Fazlur Rahman and Mehmud Khan Achakzai’s opposition about Fata reforms, he said that Fata would be merged with Khyber Pakthunkhwa if they want or not.

He said that tribal people were deliberately kept deprived of education and development but time has come to give them their due constitutional rights.

He also criticized JUI-F and said that Maulana Fazl didn’t want to see Pakhtuns get united in Pakistan.
