Strong resistance forces Dir administration to halt crackdown against reassembled vehicles

TIMERGARA: The district administration of Lower Dir on Wednesday stopped operation against
reassembled vehicles after strong resistance from all most all political parties.
The senior official of district administration Nazim Muhammad Rasool Khan has confirmed that operation against cut vehicles had been stopped after the district government seriously took up the issue with the concerned quarters.
” I personally called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa home secretary along with Members Provincial Assembly (MPAs) Aizazul Mulk Afkari and Saeed Gul and informed him of the situation and its bad impact on the lives of the people of calamities hit district”, Muhammad Rasool Khan said and added that he also discussed the matter with commandant Dir Task Force (DTF) Col Khalid Mahmood Shafi in detail and reviewed the situation.
He said earlier three ministers of the provincial government hailing from Malakand division Muzaffar Said advocate, Inayat Khan and Habibur Rahman also met General Officer Commanding (GoC) Malakand
division Maj General Ali Amir Awan and informed him of the common man’s difficulties arisen out of operation against reassembled vehicles.
Muhammad Rasool Khan appreciated the civil and military officials for extending their full support for ending operation against cut vehicles.
Transporters and dealers of reassembled vehicles in Lower Dir have expressed joy over ending of the operation.
