Pakistani deported from India reunites with family after 25 years

MANSEHRA: The 35-year-old Siraj Khan, who was expelled by India, reunited with his family in Mansehra after 25 years.

Siraj Khan left his house 25 years ago when he was 10 years old. He intended to go to the house of his uncles in Karachi, but mistakenly boarded a train for New Delhi instead of Karachi. Siraj Khan said he stayed in Delhi and started work at a hotel. He said he entered marriage with a girl named Sajida in 2005 and now he has a 12-year-old daughter and seven-year-old twin sons.

Siraj Khan was recently deported by India because he lacked legal documents and he was handed over to Pakistan. Siraj reunited with his family in Sharkol area of Mansehra on Wednesday.

Siraj said he is happy over seeing his family again after 25 years, but at the same time he is badly missing his wife and children in India. He appealed to the Pakistan government to arrange visa for him to visit India to see his wife and children or make arrangements for them to come to Pakistan.
