PESHAWAR: A man allegedly shot dead his father and two brothers over a domestic dispute in Ashukhel area of Frontier Region (FR) Peshawar on Friday.
Police said the accused, Sajjad opened fire on his father, Sikandar and brothers Saqib and Mushtaq, leaving them dead on the spot. His four-year-old brother, Alamzeb was also injured in the firing incident. He was taken to hospital in critical condition.
The culprit escaped from the scene after the incident. Police said the incident happened due to a domestic dispute.
Police have filed a case against the accused and initiated investigation. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
TLP leader arrested Charsadda
Charsadda Police have arrested acting central ameer of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Dr Muhammad Shafique Ameeni.
District Police Officer (DPO) Charsadda Irfanullah Khan said Shafique Amini was involved in instigating people against the government and state institutions. He said Mr Amini went into hiding after the arrest of the Tehreek-e-Labbaik chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi. He said the Tehreek-e-Labbaik leader was arrested after protest in Umarzai area of Charsadda.
The TLP leader has been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation. A case regarding blocking the Motorway is registered against Mr Ameeni in Charsadda.
Meanwhile, Charsadda Police arrested a member of a gang involved in robberies.
Robbers had snatched Rs4.63 million from a trader at Ghani Khan Road in Charsadda last year. Police during investigation arrested on accused identified as Bakhr Munir. The accused confessed to his involvement in the robbery and also told police about his three accomplices. An amount of Rs200,000 was also recovered from the possession of the arrested robber and raids are being conducted for arrest of his accomplices.
Meanwhile, fire erupted in a plaza on Charsadda-Mardan road on Friday.
The Fire Brigade personnel reached the spot immediately and doused the fire. However, the fire damaged goods worth millions of rupees in the market. Sources said motorcycle spare parts and batteries shops were damaged in Ali Plaza in the incident.
The cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
Five killed in Balochistan firing
Five people lost their lives when two groups of suspected drug smugglers exchanged fire in Kech district of Balochistan on Friday.
The security personnel reached the area after the clash and shifted the bodies to Turbat Hospital. The district administration said two groups of smugglers clashed which resulted casualties.
