MANSEHRA: A man allegedly killed four members of his family, including his father and sister, over a property dispute in Mansehra on Wednesday.

Police said the incident happened in Shahkhel Garhi area in the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station in the morning. The accused Majid opened fire on his family members on the dispute of ownership of a house due to which his father, sister, brother and sister-in-law died on the spot. The culprit escaped after killing four family members.

Police personnel reached the crime scene and shifted the bodies to hospital for post mortem. Police are conducting raids to arrest the accused.

The Shahkhel Garhi incident happened two days after a transgender person was brutally killed in Mansehra. The victim was identified as Farhan, who was famous as ‘Honey’. The transgender person was killed inside her home on Shinkyari Road near Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul.

Police said that the transgender person received five bullets and died on the spot. Her body was taken to King Abdullah Hospital for post mortem.

Shemale Association gave a call for protest demonstration against the brutal murder of their member.

On Tuesday Police claimed arresting the alleged killer the transgender person. City Police Station officials said the alleged killer  was arrested by Station House Officer (SHO) of the City Police Station along with his team during a raid.

The alleged killer was identified as Shahbaz, a resident of Baffa in Mansehra. Police said that case has been registered against him and further investigation is underway.

The same day, a man allegedly killed his parents over a land dispute in Rangkot area of Garhi Habibullah.

Police said the accused Mohammad Altaf used to quarrel with his parents, Mohammad Iqbal and Salima Bibi, over the ownership of a piece of land. According to police, the parents of the accused had lodged a complaint with police against their son which infuriated him and he took this extreme step. The accused first exchanged harsh words with his parents and then opened fire leaving them dead on the spot. Police arrived at the scene after the incident and arrested the accused.
