DARRA ADAMKHEL, 14 July: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said on Wednesday that the demand of establishment of FATA University has been fulfilled and medical and engineering colleges will also be established in the region soon.
The governor visited the FATA University in Frontier Region Kohat (Darra Adamkhel) and awarded prizes to top position holder students in the matriculation exams. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Jhagra said an educated FATA is a guarantee for durable peace. He said the government is committed to restore education and healthcare facilities in FATA after the return of the internally displaced persons (IDPs).
The governor said medical and engineering colleges will be established in FATA within next five years.
FATA University Vice Chancellor Professor Muhammad Tahir Shah briefed the governor about the administration of the university. Mr Jhagra directed the concerned officials to complete construction work on the university at the earliest to initiate academic activities.
