Khattak says he was consulted by Imran on new CM

NOWSHERA: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader and former chief minister Pervaiz Khattak on Thursday said he was consulted by the party chief Imran Khan while naming Mehmood Khan as new chief minister.

Talking to journalists in Nowshera, Pervaiz Khattak appreciated the decision of Imran Khan for nominating Mehmood Khan for the chief minister’s slot and termed the decision highly appropriate. He said Mehmood Khan is the right person for the job.

The PTI leader said Mehmood Khan’s nomination will eliminate the sense of deprivation of people of Malakand Division and would bring about prosperity to the area. He said Imran Khan always takes decisions in the larger interest of the country and province.

Mr Khattak also said he will accept any responsibility given by the PTI chief.

To a question, he said the opposition parties’ protest against alleged rigging has failed.
