PESHAWAR, 24 November: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Tuesday arrested two accused militants in two different operations in Peshawar and Bannu.

According to details, one of the militants was arrested from the Zangali area in the jurisdiction of Badbher police station here. A press release issued here said the militant Naseem Shah carried a head money of Rs. 500,000/-.

The accused, according to CTD, was a member of the proscribed Jangrez group and was involved in attacks on security forces and destroying schools with explosives in his native village Mattani.

Meanwhile, an alleged extortionist Umar Hayat was arrested from Bannu. The accused remained active member of infamous militant groups operating in Lakki Marwat, a CTD press released added.

Both the accused have been shifted to undisclosed locations for further interrogation.
