PESHAWAR, 27 June: The statement of a leader of the Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) regarding getting funds from Indian intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), appeared on social media today.

According to the posts on social media, MQM leader Tariq Mir while being interrogated in money laundering case in 2012 told the London police that the party chief Altaf Hussain gets 800,000 pounds sterling from RAW every year since 1994.

It merits a mention here that British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported a few days back that MQM gets financial assistance from India and its hundreds of activists got military training in India.
