TIMERGARA, 20 March: The Culture Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in collaboration with Rich Project on Sunday evening organized a musical show at a hujra in Timergara to promote the local culture and folk music.
The event was attended by a large number of people, including local poets, writers, local politicians, and students. The local singers sing various local songs with the composition of the drum, tambourine, traditional guitar, local three strings guitar, harmonium, fiddle, piper, and flute.
The singers amused the gathering with their melodious voices in traditional tunes. The audience enjoyed the live performance.
Organizer of the program, Amjad Khan Malak told TNN appreciated the provincial government’s efforts to promote culture. He said that this kind of programs will not only encourage local singers but will also help to promote the real face of Pashtuns to the world.
The local people, who attended the music night, appreciated the event.
