PESHAWAR, 17 November: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has asked the Ministry of Interior to put the name of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on the Exit Control List (ECL).

According to a spokesman for the NAB, decision to put the name of Ishaq Dar on the ECL was taken at a meeting chaired by Chairman NAB Justice (R) Javed Iqbal on Thursday. The accountability court has already issued non-bailable warrant for Ishaq Dar over his non-appearance before the court in the illegal assets case.

During the hearing of the case on Thursday, Ishaq Dar’s lawyer presented his medical report before the court and sought exemption from personal appearance. However, the court rejected the request.

The NAB has re-opened the Rs1.2 billion Hudaibya Paper Mills case against Ishaq Dar which is second major corruption case against him.
