PESHAWARE, 29 October: The National Accountability Bureau has ordered inquiry against former deputy commissioner Shangla district for misappropriating public welfare funds.
According to a statement issued here said that the former DC Dildar Danish allegedly involved in petroleum smuggling to Afghanistan.
Besides, he was also accused of misappropriating Rs120 million in funds meant for flood affected people of the district.
The NAB also launched inquiry against former director Peshawar Development Authority along with seven others officials who believed to be involved in gasoline smuggling to Afghanistan and approved to file corruption reference at NAB court against them.
The statement said that officials of Pakistan State Oil, Customs Department of officials of other departments were also involved.
The statement said that the officials were involved in illegal sale of petroleum at local market and inflicted a huge loss to the tune of Rs20.30 million to national exchequer.
