National Jeep Rally convoy reaches Gilgit-Baltistan

CHITRAL, 22 October: The convoy of the National Jeep Rally has reached Gilgit-Baltistan from Chitral.

TNN correspondent said about 500 motorcycles and 300 vehicles are taking part in the Peace Rally. Vehicles from Swat, Malakand and Chitral are also taking part in the rally which will travel to Islamabad via Khunjrab and then reach Gwadar.

The Pakistan Army, Chitral Scouts and district administration have jointly organised the event. Participants of the rally said the purpose of the event was to give a message of peace to the world and that Pakistan is a peaceful country.

Sheikh Farooq Ahmed, a participant of the rally, told TNN that he is thoroughly enjoying the trip.

“We are standing on Shandoor Top. We want to tell the world that we are peace-loving people and our region is very peaceful. It is a very enjoyable event and we are moving forward with the cooperation of the Pakistan Army,” he said.
