QUETTA, 13 May: Poetry, speech and national songs contests were organised at Children Academy in Quetta yesterday.

Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Nasir Janjua, provincial assembly members and high-ranking civil and military officers attended the event.

Medals and certificates were awarded to the students who got positions in their respective contests.

“My name is Maryam Fatima and I am a student of Government Girls High School Ladyson. I won third prize and a gold medal in the speech contest. I worked hard for this competition for one year. I am feeling very happy over winning this prize,” a girl student told TNN.

The visiting guests were greatly impressed with the talent of the students at the event.
