PESHAWAR, 27 August: The 1st Nazim-e-Ala Cricket Tournament arranged by District Cricket Association got underway in Peshawar on Friday.

Forty-two teams of Peshawar registered with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are participating in the tournament which is named after Peshawar District Nazim Muhammad Asim Khan.

In the opening match of the tournament, Peshawar Green defeated Aaj Subh team by seven wickets. Sohail Khan was declared man of the match for his 47 runs.
