MIRANSHAH, 10 December: National Bank resumed its serves in the volatile North Waziristan Agency by reopening its branch in Miranshah on Thursday.
The branch was relocated to Bannu as majority of the tribesmen settled in Bannu after the military offensive Zarb-e-Azb was started against militants in the agency in June 2014.
“Today, we winded up the branch on Railway road in Bannu which was temporarily set up after the operation Zarb-e-Azab was started and moved back to our previous location, the Tochi Scouts forte in Miranshah,” manager of the branch Abbas Khan told TNN.
Normalcy began to return to the volatile North Waziristan Agency as security forces claimed to have cleared 90 percent of the area from the militants. As a result, a large number of the displaced tribesmen have been sent back to their native villages and the military authorities and civil administration vowed that the rest of the IDPs would also be resettled in their areas.
