PESHAWAR, 26 July: To restore people’s confidence in police and maintain a good relation between public and police institution, a non-government organization Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) organized a dialogue at the Peshawar press club on Tuesday.

Senior provincial minister Inayatullah Khan was the chief guest on the occasion while media persons including senior journalist Rahimullah Yusufzai and other people also attended the event.

Participants of the dialogue discussed in details the reforms introduced in the police department during the past three years. The participants also asked questions from Ijaz, director general Project of the police department.

An official of the CRSS Shams Mohmand told TNN more such events will be held in future to restore public’s confidence in police.

He added that the purpose of the program was to inform people about the reforms brought in the police during the past three years, to bridge the gap between police and public and remove the fear from the mind of public they have about police.
