PESHAWAR, 04 May: At least nine persons died and another eight were injured in two separate road accidents in Peshawar and Kohat.
Police said that a Peshawar-bound van rammed into a shopping market when the driver lost control over the vehicle due to over-speeding near Mamoo Khatki area on Peshawar-Charsadda road. Six persons, including three women, died in the incident.
Meanwhile, three persons died as a passenger van turned turtle in Kohat. Seven other were injured. Police said that Kohat-bound van was coming from Orakzai Agency and turned turtle near Marai area in Kohat district. The reason of the accident, police said, was over-speeding.
