PESHAWAR: Residents of tribal areas have expressed resentment for not awarding scholarships to their children for the ongoing academic year and urged the federal government to take notice of the injustice.
Around 50 scholarships for students in eight and seventh grades would be awarded scholarships for which they would take ETA test. A government teacher in Kurram Agency Hazrat Gul said that the test was not taken this year due to law and order and unavailability of funds.
He said that this year tests were taken on January 26 last month for only two scholarships. He lamented that students in tribal areas were deprived of their rights and demanded of the federal government to take notice of the issue.
