PESHAWAR, 17 December: The district association of nurses has called upon the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to provide them service structure, professional allowance and other facilities.

Addressing a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Friday, the association representatives said they had forwarded their demands, particularly about the service structure and professional health allowance, to the provincial government several times, but the government did not resolve their problems despite several promises in this regard. They said the assistant director subjects nurses to maltreatment and do not fulfil his responsibilities.

Sabiha, a nurse, told TNN that they have several demands like service rules, professional allowance and others.

“We have been subjected to discriminatory attitude despite repeating our demands several times. No one is prepared to listen to our problems. We will resort to protest if this scenario continued,” she said.
