PESHAWAR, 20 December: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has decided to raise the prices of gas by 38 percent.

The raise in the gas prices will apply from 1 January, 2016. OGRA has raised the gas prices over the request of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).

Officials in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural resources said the increase in gas prices will apply on the whole country which will generate additional revenue of Rs213 billion for the government.
