Woman stabbed to death
In a separate incident, a man killed his disgruntled wife with a sharp-edged weapon in District Courts Swat on Wednesday.
A divorce case was to be heard in the court and the woman was sitting in the women’s waiting room when her husband went there and killed her with a knife. Police arrested the culprit on the spot and sent him to lock up.
Lawyers in the District Courts boycotted the proceedings of the case in protest against the murder of the woman. District Bar Association Akhtar Munir said while talking to TNN that despite search on the gates and instillation of scanners, the occurrence of such an incident is a big security lapse. He demanded the government to improve security arrangements at the courts.
