PESHAWAR: The opposition benches in the assembly have decided to give a tough time to the provincial government on Tuesday. In this regard, a meeting of the all the opposition parties held here which was presided by the leader of opposition in KP assembly Akram Khan Durrani.
It was decided that all the Members of the provincial assembly will make their attendance during the next session of the Assembly to raise the issues in a proper manner. KP Govt to utilize Tribal areas’ resources for development, beautification
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food Qalandar Khan Lodhi Tuesday said the government would utilize all resources of tribal districts for development and beautification in those areas to bring those at par with other areas of the country.
During his day-long visit to Orakzai district, he said FATA merger should have done by the past governments but unfortunately it was delayed, adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan soon after coming to power announced FATA merger to bring those areas at par with others. He said as per the vision and directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan Employment opportunities would be provided to tribal youth and their resources would be utilized for the uplift and development.
The Minister said that the office of Food department and infrastructure would be established in merged districts. He said that the concerns of tribal people of Orakzai district would be taken up on an appropriate platform for redressal. He also assured the merger of Khasadar and Levis into KP police. The Minister chaired a meeting of the Food Department and handed over responsibilities of District Food Controller (DFC) to DFC Hangu Salahuddin.
