PESHAWAR, 27 April: Al-Khidmat Foundation, a welfare organization affiliated with Jamaat-i-Islami, has distributed textbooks, notebooks and cash money among 134 orphan students here, triggering happiness among the beneficiaries.

In this connection, a function was held in Hayatabad which was participated by local elders, students and teachers. Talking to TNN, Al-Khidmat Foundation’s head for Khyber Agency Dr. Lal Akbar Afridi said that besides essential schools items the foundation has given Rs. 800 and Rs. 1,500 for shoes and dress to 3800 students. “I am so happy to get schoolbag, books and cash money. I will continue my studies to become a doctor. We must be given books [free of cost] so that we could continue our studies,” the students said.
